Note that this show has been bootlegged over the years both under this date and as "Pauley Pavilion 11/26/1969." The consensus is that 8/16/1969 is the

correct date for this recording, and that no Blind Faith show took place at Pauley Pavilion on 11/26/1969 or any other date.

I compiled this show from the two sources, restoring the original setlist order as best as I can judge, based on analysis of cuts (or lack of) in the recordings

and known Blind Faith setlists of the same tour. Both sources apparently originate from the same master AUD, though the primary source is higher quality.

I was able to reconstruct 3 continious sections; tracks 1-4, 5-7 and track 8. There are discontinuities on both sources between tracks 4&5 and 7&8, and a cut in track 8. Unfortunately, Do What You Like was not on my secondary source, so I could not patch this cut, or even see if ithe cut was duplicated on that source.

The beginning of Sleeping in the Ground is missing and probably an encore, most likely Sunshine Of Your Love. Given known setlists from this tour, it does not

This title is a copy of 'Strange Fascination' (Japan) with bonus tracks taken from several other sources. This title handles the cut in
'All The Young Dudes' well and the discs logically split the concert. Also included is the rare 1974 performance of 'Drive in Saturday.'
This is by far the best sounding material from the Diamond Dogs tour to surface to date. Many agree that the quality of this performance easily
surpasses the officially released 'David Live' in set list and energy. This title includes a ten minute introduction of street noises
climaxing with a women in the throws of orgasmic pleasure and finishes with the promoter announcing that 'Mr. Bowie has left the theater.

RCA's release was substantially edited, and used a completely different mix. RCA's mix was also muddy as f**k, which this isn't. basically, this is the analog sbd from which RCA pulled the album, but it sounds like it did before they messed it up. Which is 100 x better.

For whatever reason, the tapes were shelved as the band decided instead to begin work on Love Gun. KISS played 4 shows in Tokyo in April, 1977. It is not known which or how many of these shows were recorded for this unreleased live album. The two shows on April 2nd were profesionally filmed and an edited version was broadcast on HBO in 1979. It has also been discussed that Makin' Love, I Want You, and Beth from the official Alive II album may be from these recordings, however they would have been edited and overdubbed by the time they were released. There is a lttle bit of tape noise present on a couple of tracks, most notably I Want You. These flaws are present on the original reels and exist in every copy that circulates of this recording.

This is a professionally done CD-R with silk-screened art on the discs, no sticky labels.
The track listings presented on the back cover differ slightly from those above. The listing above is correct for what is on the discs.
The quality of the 25 song demos is the same as those tracks on the bootleg disc called, "Blueprint".
Tracks 5-8 on Disc 2 are from an old KMET radio interview that has shown up in various forms on some older bootlegs and includes Dave doing the intro to the "Full Bug" on acoustic guitar and changing around a bit to make it an advertisement for KMET. These particular tracks are excellent quality.
Tracks 7 & 8 on Disc 2 are an interview with Lisa Robinson that includes Eddie doing the Elephant, Horse and Mouse sounds on guitar.
Track 12 on Disc 2 is King Crimson's "Discipline", not Van Halen!
Track 18 on Disc 2 is a poor sounding soundboard recording from the Jacksons' Texas show in 1984 which Eddie played "Beat It" live with the band.
Tracks 19-21 on Disc 2 are from a radio interview where a caller claims he has a tape he recorded from Van Halen in 1975 while doing sound for the other band on the bill called "Air Castle" and has "Superstitious" and a small part of "La Grange".
Also included are songs straight off of their respective CDs. Including Nicollette Larson's "Get Away From You" that Eddie played on in 1978 and all 3 tracks from the Brian May "Star Fleet" LP (CD versions used).
One bad thing about this set is the inclusion of a few dubious tracks (11,14,17 on Disc 2) from "Eddie solo in his studio" that are fakes done by a guitar instructor and appeared on the "Guitar Man" bootleg a few years back.
Even though "Feel Your Love Tonight" is listed on the cover art for Disc 2, it is not on the set. Also, If you look closely on the songlist for Disc 2, there is no Track #16 listed!

Reunion II 2002 contains tracks from the original "Reunion" project that didn't fit at the time onto the two 80 minute discs.

The songs on this disc represent classic Van Halen songs that a grouping of fans said that they'd like to hear again, live in concert. These are the best-known recordings of those tunes that were available at the time. These songs were then digitally remastered. The combination of both the Reunion & Reunion II disc sets, give the Classic Van Halen fan every studio track performed live minus 6 studio tracks (Dirty Movies, Push Comes to Shove, One Foot Out The Door, Big Bad Bill is Sweet William Now, Top Jimmy & Drop Dead Legs). The original project did't have that in mind per say, but with the addition of Reunion II, all studio tracks that were played live in some form appear now with both sets. All of the recordings are extremely good, and the transition between songs is smooth. In some instances you never know that two adjacent tracks came from separate venues. The remastering work is very good.

There are some amazing tracks in this project. Track 19 "1984", is an extended four minute version of the song with Eddie playing keyboards and Alex drumming along with him. This is the only known time this extended version was played on the 1984 tour. Most of the songs here have been heard before on one disc or another, but the 1984/Jump version is worth getting, just for it being a rare look into the creative keyboard fingering of Eddie Van Halen.
